I’m a paediatric OT. I discovered the airway space for my 2yo son who has a compromised airway. He has undergone ENT surgery and will also undergo palate expansion when he is old enough (hoping between 3-4 years). Going on the journey with him, I identified my own airway and sleep disorders. I have an adulthood ADHD diagnosis, which I now believe are just symptoms of my airway and sleep disorders (UARS). I am just starting palate expansion and possibly require ENT surgery in the future.
I have since screened my caseload of OT patients, who the majority also have undiagnosed airway and sleep disorders, but have diagnosed ADHD, ASD, ID, cerebral palsy etc.
