I have idiopathic subglotic stenosis. I suffered for years before being correctly diagnosed. I was short of breath and tested negative for asthma. They treated me for sinus infection several times and the oral steroid would help for awhile. Until I got really closed up. Sent to an allergy specialist who tested and I didn’t have allergies. He thought maybe it was vocal cord dysfunction. I was then sent to an ENT who scoped me and found the real issue. I have had about 12 surgeries, laser and dilation. I usually go about 9 months between surgeries. I have done two series of steroid injections which have given me slightly longer tunes n surgery.
