Growing up I had severe allergies to our black lab dog, Duke. My allergies caused me to become a mouth breather immediately. As I got older, I had behavior issues, focus issues, asthma, and I was frequently sick. My tonsils were extremely enlarged to the point that they touched. As life continued on, focusing at school became my biggest issue. I worked hard in school, but my grades never reflected that, leaving me frustrated, and ready to give up. I was a good athlete but often needed my inhaler or to do nebulizer treatments. When I was 17, I began having panic attacks, and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Throughout all this time, I was also exhausted every morning, no matter how much sleep I got. I also struggled with mental health challenges. My Dad is a dentist, and only began learning about airway disorders and their connections to overall health when I was in my mid twenties. He presented my case to his mentor, and that is when we decided to start filming my story with the hopes that it would help others who were suffering in a similar manner to me. We have filmed my story from my first sleep test, all the way to when i eventually found a cure for my situation, which was MMA and nasal surgery. Through filming my story, as well as others, we recognized that more had to be done, and thus The Airway Revolution Foundation was born.
